Annual General Meeting
Join us for our Annual General Meeting Tues, Sep, 27th at 7pm at the Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre. We will have the annual reports of the Society and hold our election of Directors. We are also pleased to present Mapping Bull Kelp by Kayak and Satellite, a Community Collaboration by Leanna Boyer of SeaChange Society and Sarah Schroeder of the UVic Spectral Lab.
Help Save Fairyslipper Forest!
The Thetis Island Nature Conservancy (ThINC), Cowichan Community Land Trust and Islands Trust Fund are working hard to save Fairyslipper Forest on Burchell Hill. We've raised over $180K in our first year - that's over one-third of the $560K needed to acquire the property to create the first publicly-accessible nature reserve on Thetis Island.
